C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous vous annonçons le décès de notre estimée collègue, Madame Béatrice SALEM née SACRE, survenu le vendredi 29 mai 2026, à l’âge de 66 ans.
Pathologiste distinguée, Béatrice a dédié sa carrière au monde de la pathologie toxicologique et à la recherche pharmaceutique. Elle a passé près de 23 ans chez MSD, où elle était Pathologiste, Compound Leader et Due Diligence Preclinical Leader.
Avant MSD, Béatrice a apporté ses compétences chez Sanofi Aventis et Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Activement engagée dans la communauté scientifique, elle fut membre du Comité Éducatif de l’European College of Veterinary Pathology et a présidé le STP Tox Pathology Forum. Elle a également contribué au projet NeuroDerisk de l’IMI2.

It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of our esteemed colleague, Madame Béatrice SACRE SALEM, who left us on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the age of 66.
Béatrice was a distinguished pathologist whose career was deeply dedicated to the fields of toxicological pathology and pharmaceutical research. For nearly 23 years, she was an integral part of MSD, where her contributions as a Pathologist, Compound Leader, and Due Diligence Preclinical Leader were invaluable.
Prior to her impactful time at MSD, Béatrice shared her considerable expertise with Sanofi Aventis and Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Her commitment extended beyond her direct roles; she was actively involved in the wider scientific community, notably serving on the Education Committee of the European College of Veterinary Pathology and chairing the prestigious STP Tox Pathology Forum. She also played a key role in the IMI2 NeuroDerisk project.
We are profoundly grateful for her contributions to toxicological pathology. Her unwavering professionalism and dedication have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of working with her, and she will be dearly missed.
